Who we are & why
Born from a loss no family should face.
In 2010, a preventable ski collision took the life of Chauncy and Kelli Johnson's 5-year-old daughter and left Kelli with a severe traumatic brain injury. They turned their grief into the #RideAnotherDay safety campaign.
In 2023 that work became the Snow Angel Foundation, a 501(c)3 dedicated to preventing on-mountain collisions through education, awareness, activism and advocacy, so every run ends with everyone making it home.
What we do
Education that changes how a whole mountain thinks about safety.
We work with ski areas, patrols, instructors and schools to build a culture of "Mountain Citizenship": personal responsibility and looking out for one another on every run.

On-mountain awareness days
Full-day Ride Another Day and Triangle of Safety events where Kelli and Chauncy meet guests on the snow, most requested during January Safety Month.

Speaking & youth education
"Creating Safer Slopes" keynotes for town halls, safety weeks and schools, reaching kids, teens and families before they ever get on a lift.
