Our Mission

The Snow Angel Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that raises awareness and educates skiers and snowboarders on how to prevent on-mountain collisions.

Our Story

In 2016, after a tragic ski collision that took their 5-year-old daughter’s life and left Kelli with a severe TBI, Chauncy and Kelli Johnson launched the “Ride Another Day” safety campaign to help prevent similar collisions.

They formalized that work in 2023 by creating The Snow Angel Foundation, expanding their mission to reach not just the ski industry but also kids, teens, and families through education and awareness around safe skiing.

Join the Snow Angel Challenge

The Snow Angel Challenge, in partnership with the National Ski Patrol, is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness and funding for on-mountain safety. Together, we’re working to raise $100,000 to support safety education and training programs across North America—to help families make informed decisions on the mountain and reduce preventable collisions. Help us reach our goal!

How To Participate

  1. Make a snow angel—on snow, sand, or leaves.

  2. Challenge a friend.

  3. Donate to Snow Angel Foundation, National Ski Patrol, or both.

  4. Share and tag @snowangelfoundation @natlskipatrol with #snowangelchallenge25.

Every angel helps prevent on-mountain collisions and keeps skiers riding another day.
