The Snow Angel Foundation Launches New Website and Announces Partnership with Bern to Promote Safer Slopes

Denver, CO (March 12th, 2026)The Snow Angel Foundation today announced the launch of its new website alongside a new partnership with independent helmet brand Bern, marking a significant step forward in the organization’s mission to create safer experiences on the slopes for skiers and riders of all ages.

Founded in 2023 by Chauncy and Kelli Johnson, The Snow Angel Foundation grew out of the couple’s earlier #RideAnotherDay safety campaign, which began in 2016 following a tragic ski collision that took the life of their 5-year-old daughter and left Kelli with a severe traumatic brain injury. Determined to prevent similar tragedies, the Johnsons began sharing their story and advocating for greater awareness around slope safety and responsibility.

Today, The Snow Angel Foundation expands that work beyond the ski industry, reaching kids, teens, and families through education, storytelling, and community engagement designed to encourage safer choices on the mountain.

“Every run should end with everyone making it home,” said Chauncy Johnson, co-founder of The Snow Angel Foundation. “Our mission is to help skiers of all ages look out for one another and remember that the decisions we make on the mountain affect everyone around us.”

The Foundation’s new website will serve as a hub for safety resources, personal stories, educational content, and community initiatives designed to promote responsible riding and collision awareness.

As part of the launch, The Snow Angel Foundation has partnered with Bern, a proudly 100% independently owned helmet company known for blending low-profile style with high-impact protection. The partnership will introduce a line of Snow Angel Foundation–branded products, with proceeds supporting the Foundation’s mission to expand safety education and outreach programs.

Bern’s commitment to rider-first design and independence aligns closely with the Foundation’s mission.

“Bern has always built helmets for riders who care about performance and protection,” said a Bern representative. “Partnering with The Snow Angel Foundation allows us to support a cause that truly matters—helping people stay safe so they can keep riding another day.”

From urban e-bike commutes to backcountry laps, Bern designs gear for riders who demand performance without compromise. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to raise awareness around safety while empowering the skiing and snow sports community to look out for one another.

The Snow Angel Foundation invites the public to explore the new website, learn about slope safety, and support the mission through Snow Angel Foundation–branded products.

“By honoring those we’ve lost and protecting those we love, we can create a safer future on the slopes—for today and for every ride after,” said Kelli Johnson.
