Team/Board of Directors

We've put together a solid team of experts across every aspect of the snow-sports industry.

  • Chauncy Johnson

Chauncy is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Snow Angel Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to preventing ski and snowboard collisions through education and awareness. On Christmas Eve, 2010 a snowboarder riding at approximately 50 mph collided with Chauncy’s wife Kelli and daughter Elise (5 years old). Tragically, the collision resulted in the death of Elise and the snowboarder. Kelli sustained life altering injuries including a severe Traumatic Brain Injury and other injuries that she lives with to this day. Chauncy continues to struggle with the aftermath of the events that day. In 2016, he partnered with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) and Craig Hospital to promote safety and ski collision awareness through the Ride Another Day campaign. Since partnering with NSAA, he has been speaking to audiences in and out of the ski industry across the country. Chauncy walks audiences through tragedy to triumph while providing inspiration on how to work through traumatic experiences as well as create cultures of safety. Both laughter and tears are very common from the crowds he speaks with.
